I won one of these at ACEC. Looks very interesting. Don't let the hideous dubbing on the video put you off!
Thanks to Chris Purton who gave me lots of his time to set this up. We had some issues with the wifi at my school and he came twice to try and get it working properly. Thanks Chris!

This was excellent PD and the talk Tom gave certainly gave food for thought. He cautioned all of us to think about why we're using technology, not just to innovate for the sake of innovation, but to think pedagogically about why we are using certain applications and software.

It's often too easy to get carried away by the creative and exciting aspect of technology and to forget that we are meant to be using it for a teaching purpose.

Hmm, at first I was a bit disappointed that I spent money on the Kindle - now I'm feeling somewhat happier about it. I actually need to annotate and highlight and the i-pad won't (yet) let me do this. I am sure that the i-pad will be the killer machine but for now I'm content to wait a while for the second gen.

This is a useful site for coming to grips with the issues of cyber safety. We all want to use technology with our students (don't we?) but we also need to know that we're safe.
